Moments of Opportunity
Impact of Limiting Beliefs
A limiting belief is a thought or mindset that one considers a truth and stops them from taking certain actions. Exploring limited beliefs can open possibilities in life and uncover new opportunities.
Understanding your Personal Needs
Behaviors are dependent on our unique personal needs. Needs are the conditions and feelings that we must have to achieve satisfaction in life. These needs fuel our energy and how we approach our lives. Many of us spend our lives trying (consciously or not) to get our needs met.
Differences between Coaching, Consulting and Mentoring
The term Coach is used in many different ways and in the business world it has been used hand in hand with Consulting and Mentoring. What are the differences between Coaching, Consulting and Mentoring?
Why work with a Coach?
Coaching is a powerful tool that can help individuals achieve their potential in the workplace. It involves a one-two-one relationship with a professional coach who helps people develop their skills, gain new perspectives, and overcome challenges. There are many benefits of coaching and it can have a significant, positive impact on one’s career and personal life.
What if it is Cultural Bias not Imposter Syndrome?
Recently, a theory about women and imposter syndrome has been brought into my world. The idea is women are not experiencing imposter syndrome but are actually dealing with cultural bias. Workplace culture has been defined by men over the decades and women have been told they need to “fit” into that definition in order to be successful which can conflict with our natural energy.
The Universe Will Guide You If You Let It
I have been focused on a journey of self-discovery. Some times more focused than others. Finding my “why” has been part of a recent part of this pursuit. One’s “why” is the core driver of how they engage in the world. What drives them to do what they do and be who they are? Last year, I had started to learn more about my “why” through an executive group in which I am a member.
Focus on Outcomes Instead of Hours
A remote workforce is a bit different in today’s world. Prior to pandemic, there were policies requiring childcare be in place if working from home. Today, childcare is not as accessible to many families. With so many communities locked down, parents don’t have many, if any, options for childcare. Also, add to that the burden of supervising school work. It is a lot for a working parent to manage.
How do I know they are working?
How do I know they are working? This is such a loaded question. My initial response is how did you know they are working when they were in the office? Just because you can see them doesn’t mean they performing at an optimal level.
Why Normal?
It is interesting to see so many conversations about getting back to normal. Getting back to where we were. It’s human nature to want stability, consistency. We seem to need, even crave that normal.
Transition to Remote Work
Transitioning into a remote work environment is not always easy for some employees. There are those who will take to it without hesitation. Others may struggle to balance between their work and personal lives. This is not good or bad. This is not success or failure. It is human nature.
Leading a Remote Workforce
Culture evolves with a remote workforce. Changes will happen given the new dynamic of this work environment.
Remote Workforce
In the last few months, so many businesses went from zero to 90 with work at home. It became a necessity rather than the potential benefit that had been discussed in the past. First off, CONGRATULATIONS to those of you who made it happen. This was not an easy feat.
